In an age where everything and everyone can get published online, it’s hard to sort out truth versus commercialism and marketing.  The modern consumer is faced with dozens, if not hundreds of new choices from who to buy insurance from, to which company or brand to use when you need tires to put on your car.

Now there is a peer-based consumer reporting agency – a place where you can learn from everyday consumer how they liked or didn’t like something they used or saw. It’s called MouthShut.com.

MouthShut.com is a social site that features consumer reviews of any and every sort or product and service. This is like a peer based better business bureau.  It’s a good spot for you to get your company reviewed and listed for commentary.

Reviews are done on any possible topic – from favorite music to movies to video games to fashion to travel and destinations.  Really anything that can be used and bought is reviewed by MouthShut members.

So how do you get reviewed by MouthShut.com?  Make an exceptional product or offer an exceptional service and sooner or later it will get reviewed on Mouthshut.com.  You can place a link to it for your customers on your website or include it in your packaging material and ask for their feedback.

There is currently no way for you to introduce your business yourself, although there is a Corporate registration where you can have interactions with your readers and consumers through the MouthShut blog.

The bottom line in any business is to be the best, most unique “whatever” so that your line of products or your service or brand gets “out there” and talked about in the social scene.  Then people won’t be able to keep their mouth shut about how great you are!
