Official Statement from Google
Last week, Google officially confirmed that they will be pulling Twitter status updates into their search results pages.

We will we begin to see exponentially more people clicking on the tweets that have been strategically placed using the Placement tactics. Because they are finding them on Google, their favorite place to find stuff!
Additionally, this “deal” with Google should also boost Twitter participation with the avarage Internet user. That means hundreds of thousands of more tweets to respond to… And, as the average crowd on Twitter becomes less tech and marketing centric, the number and types of niches and personas that we can market to increases.
That’s all good for us! Soon, real-time marketing will be a branch of marketing just as critical as email & PPC… and, as early adopters, you will all be experts.
